Hi! My name is Dashiell. I’m six years old, and I live in Connecticut. This summer, I built my very own lemonade stand—but not a regular one… it’s MAGIC!
My stand is called Majick Lemunade, and when you visit, I’ll conjure a crisp, cold cup of lemonade from thin air—right in front of your eyes!
It all started when I asked my dad if we could build a lemonade stand. We talked about what we could do that would make it extra fun. I had done a magic show with my brother for Mom and Dad, so we thought: what if the lemonade stand was part magic show too? A stand like no one had ever seen before.
It took FOREVER to figure out how to actually make the lemonade appear. But my dad is a toymaker, and we worked and worked and worked until we got it right. We started building in February. Then, while I was on vacation in Maine, I practiced almost every day so I’d be ready when I came back home.
Running my stand helps me use my imagination, learn about money, and keep going even when something is hard and I make a bunch of mistakes. I’m saving the dollars I earn for school and other stuff Mom and Dad say is important. I’m also helping pay for some of the parts we used to build the stand. A lot of it we already had or found at the thrift store—or the Dumpstore (that’s what we call the Swap Shop at the town dump).
The rest of my money is going toward my next big idea: building a drill-powered race car so I can zoom around my backyard. You might see me driving it on the street if Dad says it’s okay. But probably not.
Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you come find my Majick Lemunade stand—so I can make a cup appear just for you!
